The Destefano family wanted a backyard where they could relax, friends could gather, and evenings could stretch well past sunset. They knew what they wanted, but not the order in which to do it. A deck rebuild was already on the calendar, and they weren’t sure how to connect a new patio to it without costly do-overs.

After meeting on-site, we laid out a phased plan that aligned the new walkway and patio with the upcoming deck work. The patio gives the family room to gather, with a dedicated spot for a hot tub and a gas fire pit that helps stretch the season into the cooler months. Landscape lighting keeps evenings comfortable, and layered plantings soften the stone.

The finished backyard feels complete: a place to host and unwind, day or night, thanks to a plan that made the most of the space and budget.
